Hebrew is a curious language: On the one hand, it is one of the most ancient spoken words, thousands of years old, prayed in, and read across the world for generations. On the other hand, spoken Hebrew is young, being one of the only languages ever fully revived. It was brought back to life less than 150 years ago.
My name is Dana. I'm an Israeli-American. I was raised Rehovot, Israel and came to USA, to study at Sara Lawrence and Florida International University where I received a degree in English Literature, which helped further my appreciation for the subtleties of language. I teach Hebrew in Miami Beach and online. I am interested in helping people speak the language they pray in thus deepening their emotional connection to language. I work by helping students develop an inner ear for Hebrew, with a focus on conversational skills, rather than drilling grammar exercises. I aim to create an atmosphere in my classroom so stimulating that you will find yourself learning Hebrew almost by accident.
