Following completion of my BS in biology and more than 15 years of biomedical research, I began substitute teaching Science, Math, and English at the primary and secondary level. I did this for four years, prior to returning to school for a Master's degree. I completed my MS in Environmental Science along with a thesis, and taught three sections of undergraduate level Environmental Science at UTSA as an instructor.
Teaching, tutoring, and mentoring are my passions that I apparently have a distinct talent for and enjoy immensely. I prefer to work closely with my students; not only to understand their way of thinking and learning, but to ensure their success through practical, real world applications. There is no greater reward than seeing my students gain confidence in their studies and succeed.
