I am a graduate of Texas A&M University and Brigham Young University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematical Sciences and my Master of Science in Statistics. Since graduation, I have worked extensively in the actuarial profession for multiple organizations, which has helped me sharpen my technical skills and develop my communication skills.
While expertise in the subject area is critical, I believe the most important quality in a great tutor is that they care first and foremost about the learning of the student. This can best be accomplished through a combination of patience, encouragement, and diligence to put the time and work that are necessary to see measurable improvement in the student.
While my background is very technical given my years spent doing math and statistics, I have a great deal of passion for the English language and reading comprehension. I particularly love helping others prepare for Standardized Tests, which I believe has been my greatest strength in all my years as a student. I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music, watching films, following sports, reading and writing, and keeping myself physically fit.
