Throughout much of my professional experience, I have been inspired by, and dedicated to, promoting equity in education.

Presently, I am the Academic Skills Administrator for the Higher Education Opportunity Program at Fordham University. As the Academic Skills Administrator, I help prepare students to succeed in college by teaching a course in the summer and running relevant academic workshops throughout the year. I teach, advise, and preform administrative duties. I also oversee the educational data of approximately 300 students, and teach in our program's Summer Institute that prepares our incoming freshmen for college.

Prior to my current role at Fordham University, I worked in many preschool classrooms, was a Graduate Assistant at Fordham's Office of Research, and spent my undergraduate years volunteering with Jumpstart. For three years, I served as a Team Leader with Jumpstart, a national non-profit that seeks to prepare students from less affluent neighborhoods for Kindergarten, so that they are less likely to drop out of high school. In this position, I worked with teachers and school staff, as well as led a group of my peers through training and development to provide high-quality literacy intervention to our students twice a week.

In addition to my commitment to education equity, I also have an interest in community events and engagement. This has led me to serve on many committees and community advisory boards at the Rubin Museum, working to organize free public events for the greater New York City community. I am also a member of the Young Professionals Board for Jumpstart, as I am still committed to Education Equity and enjoy giving back to the New York City community as much as possible.
