Upon graduating from the University of Oregon this past June with a bachelors of science, there were only two things I was certain I was good at: math and economics. These subjects are more than meaningless academia to me, they are my life-long hobbies and interests and exert all of the effort I can into refining what I already know as well as learning more.

I tend to be a rather nervous and timid person, but when I am given the opportunity to talk about the fields I love I find I can be not only helpful but excitable and outgoing. I believe that tutoring is really an exercise of providing others with the key pieces of insight they need in order to fill the gaps in their knowledge. A lot of time a single reinterpretation of what a student already knows can lead to that "a-ha" moment that makes the subject suddenly click in a very satisfying way.

Outside of the academic field I enjoy playing basketball and will play pretty much any board or card game anybody wants to play.
