I am extremely passionate about writing and enjoy any opportunity to tutor, whether it be with students, coworkers, classmates, or even friends and family. I also am a firm believer that anyone can become passionate about writing if given the proper tools to cultivate their abilities.

My love for writing began in High School, thanks to an extremely talented English teacher I had during my Senior year. Before his class, I wanted nothing more than to get out of school and always did the bare minimum to pass my classes. However, upon entering his class and through the use of his teaching methods (which consisted of engaging the students with the material in a way that it could be understood at their level), I realized that I actually had the potential to be good at something with enough practice. This realization created a constant urge to improve over the years, which in turn instilled that passion within me to write. I see every opportunity to write as a chance to challenge my abilities, learn a new method, and possibly even gain a perspective that I may not have considered before. There is nothing that we cannot learn from in an academic setting or, for that matter, in life. Every challenge or hardship can be looked at as a mountain we must climb and, when we have finally done so (however long that may take), we will be wiser for it. It is my hope that I can help students come to this realization.

With regards to my qualifications, I have often tutored throughout my career as a college student, as well as in the workplace. In school, thanks to my knowledge, I was often asked by my professors to assist other struggling students with their papers before, during, and after classes. This varied from revisions to even understanding or choosing topics during the brainstorming phase. Additionally, I have often been selected by employers to edit and create documents and reports on behalf of supervisors and coworkers. One of my most notable examples of this was in the Security and Law Enforcement fields when I was selected as the unofficial report editor by my fellow coworkers at a security company I used to work at. Later, I was asked to do this same sort of editing for fellow Constable Deputies while being employed as a Peace Officer through the Harris County Precinct Six Constable's Office. I have attained an Associates of Arts while attending Lone Star Community College and am currently in the process of attaining a Bachelor's Degree in English/Language Arts through Sam Houston State University and am minoring in Secondary Education.
