From my eyes as a teacher, I think all students are capable of learning the basics if sufficient
resources are provided, but they are all not capable of learning at the same speed. Students want
to learn! I have to receive them where they are and move them. They'll have different issues that
can prevent them from being able to accomplish the expectations of their grade level. All
students do not learn the same way or at the same rate. Whether they're at grade level or not, my
job is to find out where they are, find out what they need and then give it to them.
Tutors are that extra help that can help a student reach their highest potential. Any forward
academic movement is a good thing.
