My name is Brittani and I live in Austin, Texas. I am currently teaching high school chemistry! I have previously taught high school physics, college chemistry (lecture and lab), undergraduate analytical chemistry (lab), and undergraduate physical chemistry (lecture and lab). I love helping students gain skills and confidence to become independent learners. I have experience working with students that have many different needs, including academic and behavioral needs. I utilize a variety of resources and accommodation strategies to help make the content accessible to all learners. Some techniques that I like to use while teaching younger students are color coded notes/pictures/diagrams, interactive activities, guided practice (I do, we do, you do), scaffolded steps (step 1, step 2), formula support (boxes to show where numbers belong), reading comprehension strategies, checks for understanding, and real-life examples.
