I graduated from a competitive high school in New York City known as the Bronx High School of Science. I am currently an undergraduate freshman studying computational mathematics at Carnegie Mellon University.
In the past, I have tutored students of different ages in preparation for various tests. Specifically, I have helped 3rd graders prepare for the New York Statewide Test. In addition, I have worked with 8th graders in preparation for the SHSAT (Specialized High School Admissions Test).
I am mostly focused on tutoring math at the moment. I love the subject because there are just so many ways to think about and solve a problem.
My teaching philosophy is that I want students to feel engaged with what they are learning. I feel passionate about math and I believe that the only way to learn is to want to learn.
Besides my love for math, I'm pretty much like any other normal college student. On my free time, I like to binge-watch Netflix and occasionally play video games.
