My passion for education began at a young age, sparked by my father who is a university professor. Throughout childhood, he emphasized the importance of seeking an education to better yourself and your community. When I became older, I naturally began teaching, first as an ESL instructor while living abroad. After returning to the United States, I worked as a K-12 English and Math tutor and teaching assistant for introductory Physical Geography courses. While attending the University of Arizona, I interned with elementary schools in the Tuscon Unified School District to teach environmental science curriculum to the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. I later relieved my B.S. in Geography from the University of Arizona, with an emphasis on Water, Society, and the Environment. Besides teaching, I work in politics as a campaign consultant. I often work on races advocating for adequate support and funding for public education across the state of Arizona. Though I enjoy teaching, it is also rewarding to be involved in education policy and advocacy in order to bring about positive institutional changes to our education system.
