I am a Portland State University Graduate. I earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in June of 2018. I attained a double majored in Science and Psychology, as well as a minor in Chemistry. I have been using this 2018-2019 school year as my "gap year" before I matriculate into Medical School in the Fall of 2019. I am currently working part-time as a Medical Scribe to an amazing Doctor at Oregon Health and Science University in the Department of Facial Plastic Surgery.

While on the search to find another part-time job, in attempts save up some money to help me finance my medical education, I stumbled upon the Varsity tutor's website. Coming from a guy who spends his free time volunteering in the medical field, I got extremely excited about perusing a job that involves helping students who are currently in the same shoes that I was in years ago.

With respect to tutoring experience, I would like to say that I grew up tutoring my younger sister and cousins pretty much throughout Elementary, Middle and High school. While attending PSU, I found myself helping a group of my friends in classes that I had already completed and Aced. Although I have never actually perused tutoring as a job, I feel that my wide range of experiences make me more than qualified to become a tutor at this point in my life. As you probably already noticed from the career path that I have chosen to pursue (becoming a Physician), I can definitely as that I am most passionate about Science, Mathematics and Psychology.

I would like to close this statement by adding that one of my favorite and most rewarding experiences was Volunteering in the Pediatric Acute Care Center at Doernbecher's Children's Hospital. I never knew how much I would enjoy working with children until I actually experienced it firsthand. With that being said, I open to the idea of being a tutor to people from all different ages groups, but I am definitely most passionate about working with children in Elementary and Middle school.
