I have been a Teacher for 11 years. I have my Master's Degree in Education with a specialization in Special Education. My certifications include Elementary Education (K-6), Exceptional Student Education (K-12), Reading Endorsement (K-12), English for Speakers of Other Languages Endorsement (K-12) Middle Grades Integrated, and Autism Spectrum Disorder Endorsement (K-12). I am currently studying for my Gifted Endorsement to be completed in July 2019. I love teaching and continue to embrace ways to grow and learn in my profession. I love to learn. We should never stop learning. I have taught and tutored students from second grade to high school. I have tutored students in reading and writing for ACT / SAT. Reading is the foundation for success in school, in our communities and in our chosen line of work and careers. I encourage my students to find something that they love to read. I believe we all have a love for reading, we just need to find what interests us. Laughter and smiles need to be part of learning. I want my students to be happy to come to school each day. I want them to have an appreciation for the rewards of their hard work. I want them to appreciate and understand the Power of Yet. I don't understand it - yet! In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, crafting and spending time with family and friends.
