Hi! I'm Raza. I graduated from the University of Rochester with degrees in Neuroscience and Economics. Currently, I am about to graduate in 2023 from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine with AOA Honors and ranked in the top 5% of the class, and will be starting residency this July. I have been very successfully tutoring for 6 years now with a focus in science subjects. It's the passion for learning and teaching that keeps me doing this job even to this day.

My tutoring philosophy is to help students build the necessary foundational ideas through open dialogue and allowing them to comfortably ask any question that has always haunted them. My motto is ALWAYS ASK WHY! The journey of medical school has added an extra dimension to my educational knowledge as I possess highly effective strategies to prepare for exams and coursework within a time constraint. Therefore, I can tailor my teaching either to quickly prepare students for a specific test or concept or conceptually help them throughout a coursework.

Furthermore, my expertise truly lie within the standardized testing models. Having been through ACT, MCAT, and the USMLE STEP examinations ranking above 95th percentiles in each, I possess the knowledge to prepare and tackle these exams from the ground up. I have had the most experience tutoring students preparing for the MCAT and my students have consistently scored higher than what they had hoped to achieve. During standardized testing tutoring, I aim to provide a thorough studying schedule tailored to my students and customized tutoring sessions to review concepts they are having difficulty with, focusing on high-yield information, reviewing missed questions, and providing test taking strategies that could work for that individual.

Lastly, I believe tutoring is a collaborative effort and there is a constant journey of learning and teaching on both sides. But during it all, I hope to not only be their tutor but also a friend/mentor that my students can always reach out to.
