I am a teacher and freelancer who writes about education, workplace issues, consumer finance, health and wellness, and business personalities.

As former business news staff writer for the Dallas Morning News whose varied resume includes a stint with Teach For America, my stories have appeared in publications including the Huffington Post, the Orlando Sentinel, SUCCESS and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

My committment to students didn't end with my Teach For America committment. I've taught middle and high school, undergraduate college courses, and adult education courses. I especially enjoy sharing my love for reading and writing in one-on-one tutoring sessions.
