Hi, I'm Kinza! I have B.S. from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS). I graduated Magna Cum Laude in Medical and Molecular Biology. I am currently continuing my education at MCPHS by pursuing an MBA in Healthcare Management and working as a Scientist at Sanofi. I have a passion for tutoring because I believe anyone can be successful with the right resources for help. I have spent my four years in college tutoring undergraduate, high school, and elementary students. I enjoy providing 1-on-1 assistance for students because it is the most direct way to focus on my student's individual needs.
During my studies, I have had several mentors and professors who have motivated me to pursue higher education. I would like to inspire my students in a similar way to give them the confidence they may need to achieve their goals. As a biology major, I have ample knowledge from the several courses I have taken. These include general biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, physiology, and more. This subject is my passion, so I love learning about it and I love teaching it even more! I have received all A's in my biology courses in college and tutored several undergraduate students in biology 1 & 2 during the past four years. My teaching style involves starting with the basics of a concept my student does not understand and building my way up to teaching the more complex aspects of the concept. By using this method, I am able to tackle my student's weaknesses and provide them with a holistic understanding, which is what biology and biochemistry entail.
Additionally, I am a published writer in the Westborough Life Magazine and I have ample experience in blog posts, literary essays, research study articles, resumes, professional cover letters, and personal statements for applicants. Writing can be a tricky subject because of sentence structures, grammar, and vocabulary. Whether it is one paragraph or an entire essay, many of us experience writer's block. I hope to give my students the skills they need to write proper complete sentences and grammar-free content. In addition, I am able to help with proofreading written assignments, essays, or application material to help create the best version of a final draft. I have tutored elementary, high school, and college students for the past four years in English and writing. I have received A's on all of my essays and will be able to help students write essays that mirror what their professors are looking for. I will also be able to teach students proper grammar and punctuation. I am very committed to my student's needs because I would like to see them improve their grades, skills, and standardized test scores.
On the SAT in 2013, I scored almost a perfect score in the SAT Writing Section (750). The writing section is entirely proofreading and grammar. My knowledge of writing and ESL will allow me to help you achieve your highest score possible if you need help in this section. I guarantee an increase in your score because I will walk through several different passages with you, and help you achieve as a standardized test taker. Although it has been five years since I tested, the writing section has not changed. I have kept up to date by doing practice tests from home, so I am familiar with the question types that are being asked more recently.
I hope you have gotten to know me a little better. I am excited to work with you and help you achieve your academic goals in a time-efficient manner! If my qualifications meet your needs, please contact me for more information. I'd be happy to discuss things in further detail with you.
