My name is Ira and I have been teaching high-school English for almost 15 years. Working in Pasco County and for Florida Virtual School, I have conducted numerous workshops and after-school programs that have helped students prepare for important tests like the FSA, GRE, ACT and SAT more effectively. I also have a tremendous success rate, and am reliable and trustworthy. I look forward to helping you and your child achieve new goals!
I love working with young adults as they prepare to enter this very important phase in their lives. The opportunity to have more targeted, private tutoring sessions allows us to dig deeper into the student's focus areas than they can during their regular school day. They feel more comfortable asking questions and as a result, we make progress. There is nothing more satisfying to a teacher than to see their student's eyes light up when they understand and learn a new concept and ultimately get significantly higher scores on tests.
If you were to ask my students what makes me an outstanding teacher/tutor, I believe what you would hear most frequently is that I care. I have a sincere interest in my students' success - both emotionally and professionally - and I have a variety of ways in which to engage them in the short time we have together.
Please reach out to discuss your goals with me and we'll make a plan on how we can get you "there" and make you both more confident.
I am available, let's talk. Email or text me at any reasonable time.
