Hello! I'm Sarah, and I'm so excited to be a part of Varsity Tutors!
I graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD). The pharmacy program at UC is somewhat unique, in that there is no undergraduate degree requirement. Therefore, despite seven years enrolled in college, the "only" degree I hold is a doctorate! I chose to complete my pre-requisites over three years, after which I attended the four year Doctor of Pharmacy program. I've been a licensed pharmacist since 2015 and have worked in both retail and hospital pharmacy settings. I love my career, because I get to work directly with physicians and other healthcare professionals to make a difference in patient's lives. My career involves a great deal of math and science, but I also do a fair amount of writing, research, and public speaking.
While my tutoring experience is mostly with elementaryaged children, I also have experience applying to college and graduate school, so I feel confident in tutoring a wide range of students. The hospital I work for also teaches student pharmacists who are in their final year of pharmacy school, for a hands-on learning approach before graduation. I've learned that I enjoy working with students of all ages!
In my spare time, I love to bake and work outside in my yard. I enjoy swimming and watching college football especially the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bearcats!
