I believe in helping students love learning by discovering their interests and the ways they learn best. By tailoring learning to the student, it becomes a joy instead of a burden. I have a masters in design from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelors in English/Technical Writing and a bachelors in Industrial Design from Auburn University. My masters work at Carnegie Mellon in Communication Planning and Information Design focused on improving student motivation through an analysis of learning styles and methods of delivery. Since my early undergrad years when I worked for Reading Recovery at NYU (a place dedicated to training early education teachers how to teach students to read more effectively) through my work in Instructional Design today, my focus has always been to make learning easier, more successful, and more engaging for the student.
