Hi! My name is Zain and I am a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University with a degree in Chemical Engineering. Prior to starting a full-time job in New York City, I am tutoring both online and in-person in or near Mason, Ohio. I have over 7 years of tutoring experience, having tutored primarily in standardized tests such as the PSAT, ACT, and SAT but also in school subjects such as Math, Science, English, Spanish, etc. I received an ACT score of 35 as well as a PSAT score of 230, both on my first attempt. I have also had quite a deal of success with AP tests, receiving a 5 on nine AP tests as well as an 800 on the Chemistry and U.S. History SAT II. In high school, I was designated a National Merit Scholar and National AP Scholar.
Tutoring has always been a huge passion of mine, having tutored part-time in high school and college and also organized the tutoring program for Spanish National Honor Society. There is nothing I enjoy more than the moment the lightbulb goes off in a student's head as they understand a difficult concept or problem. I take pride in the excellent reviews I've received from previous students, as well as my ability to connect with students and ensure their long-term academic success. I am confident that I can help any student achieve his or her goals of increasing a standardized test score, improving a grade in a class, or even just better understanding a subject.

Outside of work and school, I enjoy travel, hiking, reading, go-karting, video games, and spending times with friends and family. I have been lucky enough to travel to some cool places including Nicaragua, Saudia Arabia, Iran, Turkey, and the U.A.E. A couple of my favorite places to hike are the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee and Acadia National Park in Maine. I love learning more about my students and their interests as well!
