I graduated from Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and Education.

I have been a teacher for over 11 years, the last 7 of which have been teaching Kindergarten and First Grade in the Wake County Public School System. In this role, I have worked with students from very diverse backgrounds and with a wide array of academic needs. This has prepared me to be able to teach using a wide range of strategies and resources to ensure that I am able to reach all of my students and instill in them a love of learning.

In my free time I enjoy doing yoga and lifting weights. I also enjoy spending as much time as possible outside doing everything from going on walks to kayaking.
