I received a bachelor's degree in Japanese Language and East Asian Studies from Arizona State University. For the longest time my passion has been studying the history, culture, and language of Japan, and now I hope that I can show students the joys of these subjects. I have much experience helping out my fellow students while in these programs and I always took great joy seeing them understand a concept that they were struggling with to get. My philosophy with tutoring is that everyone has different needs, and blanket methods don't always work. I listen to the problems they have and work with them specifically with the concepts that they need help with in order work them through it. I wholeheartedly believe that the Japanese language is a rewarding language to study and that it can be much easier and more fun than many people initially think. Outside of this field of study, in my spare time I like to play video games and read up on interesting subjects in world history. I always enjoy learning something new and I hope I can pass that onto the people I tutor.
