I have been working with others to help them reach their goals since I was a teenager. I have taught either math, reading, or writing at an academic program every summer since I was fourteen. I am also regularly asked to edit papers for my peers and assist in preparing for important tests. For the past two years, I have been a fourth grade reading teacher at Duval Public Schools and I have seen great growth in my students. I love to help people achieve something that is important to them and have fun while doing it.
I graduated from high school with honors and was able to receive the Gates Millennium scholarship. I received my degree in Psychology from Duke University in 2016. I recently received my admissions letter from Columbia University where I will be studying sociology and education in the fall. I worked really hard to achieve academic excellence and will continue to do so in my next venture. My work with others reflects the same excellence I expect of myself. I truly believe rigor and relationship beget results.
