From my coursework, teaching experiences, and related experiences, I have extensive experience in working with youth and, specifically, disadvantaged youth, in both academic and non-academic settings. Additionally, from my previous (and current) teaching experiences, I have gained a great deal of knowledge and practice regarding how to make creative, engaging, and relevant lessons that respond to student learning needs. Lastly, with my additional background as a Teach for America 2016 Corps Member, I have learned many strategies for developing and maintaining a supportive and safe class environment.

I am a passionate and driven young woman who thrives in leadership positions. My organizational skills and effective time management contribute to my timely completion of required tasks. As a 23-year-old who grew up in Revere, Massachusetts, I have the ability to relate to the youth through our common interests and life experiences. By building strong connections and relationships with the youth, I am able to design and implement course curriculum that not only responds to student learning needs, but that is also relevant, interesting, and engaging for students. I often describe my classroom as "student-centered" and "student-driven," as I consistently seek to collect and analyze student feedback, which I then use to adjust my instruction as needed.
