Hello and welcome to my profile! I graduated from the University of Michigan in 2015 with a Master's degree in Environmental Biology. Now, I live and work in Cincinnati and am proud to call this city home.
My tutoring and teaching experience began in high school as a tutor for the National Honor Society. In this position, I excelled in helping students with Algebra, Spanish, English writing, and Psychology homework. I pursued my passion for teaching and helping students in college as a teaching assistant for both an introductory biology and geology class. Not only did my students excel in the subject material, but I gained skills and experience right along with them. One of the most prominent skills I gained was how to tailor my teaching approach to each student based on their level of understanding of the material. Simply providing an answer might be the easiest short-term solution to a problem; however, does not allow the student to learn and apply concepts to future problems. A skill critical to learn early on in one's academic career for future success.
In my free time, I enjoy exercising in the forms of running, biking, and hiking and playing sports such as basketball and tennis. Some of my other hobbies include hanging out with friends, trying out new restaurants, watching movies, and traveling. I can't wait to aid in your academic success and look forward to helping you achieve your goals.
