I have never been able to state my favorite subject, because I love them all! My diverse interests led me to a Bachelor's Degree in both Neuroscience and Psychology. Neuroscience combines psychology, chemistry, biology, sociology, and even computer science, which I was exposed to during college.
After college, I decided to try my hand at teaching, and also pursued a Master's Degree in Education. Through my Master's program, we focused on development of ourselves and others through service projects and a research-based thesis. My thesis was on the utility of mindfulness techniques in education, particularly in areas with high levels poverty.
During my time in high school, college, and beyond, I had to balance a rigorous academic schedule with a work schedule. I have held a vast array of jobs to support me through my journey, which gave me a more well-rounded skill set and a good sense of real-world application of concepts learned in school.
Learning is a skill we develop and use throughout our entire lives. It is never too late to begin adding skills to your tool belt, and all of us have room to improve. I have mentored students of various ages with a variety of topics, not only science! Let me help you reach your goals!
