I believe strongly that with standardized tests, we all have the ability to do well. I think in society, people are tricked into thinking only certain types of students do well on tests and lose confidence. In my own experience though, even students who perform well on the final test struggle during the process. I want to empower more students so that they realize they are not alone in the struggle to improve. I want to show students that consistent effort pays off after several weeks or months. My approach to tutoring centers around practice problems and working through problems. I also love pointing out resources to students in order to empower them to become individual learners. Tutoring is simply a supplement, in my opinion. I think the best tutors are able to walk through a problem with the student and show them in real-time their own thinking process.
On a personal note, I will be starting medical school this upcoming fall. I have experience with the MCAT, LSAT, and SAT.
