I love to communicate with people, especially when I am helping them towards epiphany moments. I'm smart (I got 95th percentile on the MCAT), so I've often been a guy who other classmates come to for help. Engaged students are fun to teach and interact with, but I also feel I can keep the less interested students' attention for long enough to help them learn.
I taught high school and middle school science at a private school in Chicago. This school only had one on one teaching, so I have lots of experience working one on one with kids to figure out how they learn best. Some kids need to make it kinesthetic, while other really need to slow things down. Its hard to imagine not being able to do addition in your head, but its that kind of intellectual empathy that makes me think I can help students.
I was a biochem major at Grinnell College (ranked 19th best national liberal arts college). On the MCAT, I was in the 99th percentile for chemistry/physics and 97th for bio/biochem
I took AP spanish in high-school, some spanish in college, and recently had 3 interiews in spanish that went well.
I'm confident I can help you with your learning goals!
