Staring at a blank document and working under a looming deadline is enough to make anyone sweat. It's no wonder many people dread writing- academic writing, that is.

It turns out that you're already a prolific writer- of class notes, emails, text messages, social media posts. With a few tips and tricks, you can apply those skills to writing assignments, saving you time and stress.

Together we'll conquer whatever writing assignment is on your desk- coursework as well as college and scholarship essays- and build strong writing skills and good habits along the way.

I know what makes a great essay because I write 'em and I grade 'em. I'm a published author with seven years of experience as a teaching assistant at top public and private universities.

About your tutor
I'm a Philadelphia native and proud Maryland transplant. I have a BA in physics from Princeton University and a master's in history of science from the University of Oklahoma (2013). I am finishing my PhD in history of science at Johns Hopkins University. My research is a blast (literally)- I specialize in the history of the US space program and have interned at the National Air and Space Museum. When I'm not teaching or writing, I love practicing yoga, training for triathlons, and baking.
