I am a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. I can tutor high school level chemistry, AP biology, calculus, algebra, English and the SAT.
I aspire to become a high school teacher. I have experience in teaching. I have tutored college students in math and science courses at the college level. As a college student, I have had the opportunity to serve as a teaching assistant for Psychology 320 in my first semester of my senior year. I was responsible for handing the assignments to the students, helping them when they had questions, proctoring examinations, and grading their assignments. Occasionally, I had the opportunity to handle a group of students from the class in a separate classroom which I was responsible for operating, where I instructed the students how to complete their assignments. Currently, I am a teaching assistant for Physics 131, where I am responsible for helping the students out with their in-class assignments and am required to proctor examinations. My responsibilities as a teaching assistant have been carried out successfully, enhancing my teaching skills. With my passion and experience in teaching and my knowledge of countless subjects at the college, high school, and middle school levels, I will be able to successfully help students who struggle to understand certain concepts in these fields. My favorite subject is chemistry, but I am proficient in many other areas as well, which I am willing to tutor students in.
