I am here to help others on their path to success in whatever areas they feel they are struggling in. If there is something I can do to help you out, you can bet that I'll give 110%!
I have the most experience in teaching/tutoring English as a second language and Japanese, though I have tutored in English and writing as well.
Right after graduating high school, I lived in Japan for two years as a volunteer, teaching English to the communities I lived in. I taught people anywhere from 5 years old to 65 years old, and I loved every minute of it! I had a great time with all of my students, and the pace at which their English ability increased was mind-boggling. I also studied the Japanese language while living there, gaining fluency in both text-book Japanese as well as day-to-day conversational Japanese.
After returning from Japan, I had the opportunity to move to China for the remainder of the year and once again teach English as a volunteer. I taught almost exclusively 1st and 2nd graders, and it was such a stinking blast! I prefer to do full immersion when teaching English, and that has produced incredible results.
In high school, my favorite subjects (besides my art classes, of course) were by far my English classes. Out of all of the core classes, English and Writing classes were always the ones I excelled most in. I didn't always enjoy reading and writing, though, so if you're not sure you like these subjects, or think you aren't very good at them, I totally understand! I've been there too, and I hope that I can help change your mind!
