I am currently a studying STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Education at Merrimack College. I am pursuing my Bachelor's degree. In the past, I have worked with students through substitute teaching at a middle school, working at a summer camp for students in kindergarten to high school, and tutoring middle school students in Math. I tutor in the STEM field because those are my favorite subjects and what I am the most passionate about.
Outside of school work, I enjoy cooking, arts and crafts, and dance. My family is big into food and I enjoy trying new recipes. I also enjoy arts and crafts because it gives me a way to explore my creativity and I love making Science themed crafts to bring to camp with me. I have been dancing since I was little.
When I am tutoring, I want to make sure that my students understand what we are doing. One thing that I find has been helpful for most students is seeing visuals and doing hands-on work to understand problems. If a student is struggling with a problem, I want to take the time to make sure that they know what they are doing before moving on since most STEM subjects have building blocks that you need to understand before you can learn more in-depth topics.
