Teaching has been my life since before I can remember. My grandmother, mom and sister were teachers so I was always surrounded by educators. I studied education in school and taught in Texas public schools, but moving overseas to teach in an international setting opened my horizons and helped me gain a very wide perspective on teaching. I've had the chance to teach, mentor teach and tutor in a variety of settings and circumstances, getting to work with many different ages and levels of students in several different cross-cultural exposures. The most rewarding experiences have been in the one-on-one situations. I love being able to explore concepts further with students and really help them grasp challenging ideas. And I am learning right along with them as I discover new ways to present ideas. That's the amazing thing about learning; it never stops.
