I have two years of experience teaching ESL to children and adults. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies and English from Michigan State University, in addition to completing 18 hours of post-graduate studies. I have 10 years' teaching experience in elementary school and high school, including a school for children with learning disabilities. Teaching learning-disabled children was one of the most rewarding things I have experienced. Many of my students were told they were not capable of learning but succeeded in my classroom. While teaching high school, I raised the scores of my students' ACT tests from the lowest to the highest in the school in social studies. I worked for three years in the business arena as a representative for a technical school. I married, and also raised six children. My knowledge and experience in child development, as a teacher and a mother, has been a contributing factor to my success in the educational field. I have good rapport with children, who score high in assessment tests under my instruction.
