Making language and history real and relevant is my passion. I've studied both since as long as I can remember and have taught both for half as long as that. I speak six languages fluently and know the struggles an English speaker has in coming to grips with grammar and pronunciation that are foreign. I've helped many get over those hurdles. I majored in Political Science and Spanish in undergrad, Latin American Economics and History in graduate school, and worked for the U.S. State Department for eight years in Brazil, Germany, Angola, and Panama, using Spanish, Portuguese, and German in a professional context daily. My hobbies are basketball, martial arts, music, history, travel, and learning languages and I'm excited to help people learn!
