I believe that teaching methods aren't one size fits all. The best teaching methods are the ones that fit the way the student learns, and each student learns differently. Finding what works best for each of my students is just the first step in what is hopefully a lasting relationship.
Though I like to think of myself as a scientist, in truth I aspire to be a science educator, and plan on attending graduate school to become a teacher. I recently graduated with a B.S. In Environmental Biology and I have since worked on ecological studies of population structures, and most recently worked as a zookeeper, caring for animals and teaching guests about conservationism.
I recently moved from Florida to Oregon for the nature, the people, and for the opportunities. I love to hike, to travel, and to play music. Most of all I love good stories, whether in books, video games, or movies.
