"The ones that do not fight for the future that they want, have to accept the future that comes."
I an currently getting my Associates in Arts degree at Miami Dade College (MDC). My goal is to get a PhD in Electrical Engineering at Georgia Tech.
I started tutoring math privately to a middle school student. From there I noticed how important and rewarding tutoring is. I now tutor in MDC at two centers. I tutor Intro to Chem privately in the Science Lab and, math and science in the STEM Center.
My favorite subjects to tutor are intro to chem and algebra. I have so much knowledge in this subjects, that I can make them fun and really interesting. I have has students that got F's on their first quizzes and started getting A's and B's the next we started tutoring.
I really do not have a tutoring style because I consider that every student has a different learning style. This learning styles need different way of being taught in order for them to comprehend a specific subject. I do make students think first on how to solve a problem, or guide them through the process; I never give out the answers to the problems.
Apart from tutoring and studying, I am an arts person. I enjoy learning to play the piano and guitar. I love reading, dancing and drawing. I like almost all types of music. Lastly, my favorite shows right now include The Good Doctor, Once Upon a Time and The Voice.
