I feel it is a good thing to be a Piano teacher. Sharing the gifts that God has given me makes me feel productive and is worthwhile to me.It is rewarding to see students perform with passion.My experience teaching piano has taught me a lot about the capabilities of the human spirit....it also has made me aware of my own abilities and has caused me to improve in certain areas. I learned Piano mostly by ear and from watching other people perform. But I did take 4 years of Organ lessons from a wonderful motivated local teacher. I also played clarinet for 7 years in public schools. I like to make students into well rounded musicians who are not afraid to perform. I use books, but I also teach them how to teach themselves things. Outside of teaching I play at church and in several local area bands.
