I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. Now I'm a medical student at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA, currently doing a research fellowship in endocrinology and neuroscience at the NIH. That means I'm studying to be a doctor one day, but taking some time off to be a scientist and learn more about our hormones and our brains.
In addition to medicine, I have a passion for mentoring and tutoring. I worked as a youth mentor and counselor throughout high school, college, and medical school, and love fostering curiosity, confidence, and independence in excited young minds. I think that sometimes the pressures of school, standardized testing, and college admissions can burn out otherwise excited and energetic young people, and my mission is to help students have fun and genuine learning experiences, while also supporting them to be successful in classes, tests, admissions, and life. This means that in addition to tutoring students for specific subjects and exams, I also enjoy helping students (especially at the beginning of high school and college) plan out their future goals and careers. Talk to me about your classes, but also feel free to ask about exploring new interests and planning how you're going to get to your dream school/career/life!
