I spent 8 years in the US. Army. I studied abroad during that time taking courses when I could. Clep exams were often my goto which required a great deal of studying without the presence of course work or an instructor. I appreciated that experience it taught me the importance of truly grasping the concepts and content rather than simply retaining enough to make the grade. Upon exiting the service I received my Bachelors Degree from Chicago State University with an emphasis in Management and a minor in Psycology and Graphic Design.
My official job in the Army afforded me the opportunity to instructor over 300 classes to individuals of very high to the lowest ranks so I learned how to reach a student where they are and to make the information relevant to their current level and then bring them up from there. I've tutored students one on one with good success, each of which went on to successfully obtain passing grades. I believe that learning is a life long endeavor and that those in the position to assist in that endeavor have taken on a worthy cause. My hobbies include reading in my personal time and studying for personal growth. I also love to work on digital art, making logo's, banners etc.
