I am a lifelong bookworm and writer; I wrote a book when I was eight about my dog. In the author's bio, I wrote about wanting to be an author when I grew up. Now that I am a bonafide "grown up," all I want to do is help kids fall in love with literature and language.
I graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. During my time there, I was placed on the Dean's list twice and was an active member Phi Sigma Pi Honors Fraternity, where I spent many hours helping my peers with their classes. Since then, I have started my Master of Fine Arts in Writing at Pacific University in Oregon, where I am focusing on Fiction.
While I love writing, my true passion is helping children with disabilities. I found my love of reading through many hours of feeling alone and isolated as a hard of hearing child; I am so excited to tutor kids like myself who have to work a little harder to accomplish the same things in school. Lifelong learners start by getting excited and seeing the capabilities within themselves, and I can't wait to help those students shine!
