My name is Kathleen Ryan and I am a third year graduate student in theology. Although I currently focus on Theology, my academic background is physical science with a focus on Geociences (geology and geophysics). As such, I would love to tutor high school environmental/earth science and biology. Likewise, as someone who had and still has a wide range of intellectual and personal interests, I love connecting with high schoolers as they begin to contemplate their own path and passions.
I have also worked as a elementary school educator, and as such have 2+ years of experience trying to get elementary and middle-school age students more excited about math, reading, and writing. I really enjoy working with younger students and know the importance of getting young people empowered when it comes to their own intellectual development.
Finally, my current work in theology has given me fluency in academic and persuasive writing as well as Latin.
Areas of expertise: elementary/middle reading, math, and science, high school environmental science, biology, persuasive writing, and Latin.
