I currently serve as an educator in Houston, TX. I have been blessed to be a high school science teacher for over a decade in various locations around Texas such as Borger ISD, the Panhandle, to Garland ISD, Spring ISD and most recently settled in Houston ISD. While I have taught different subjects within the science field, my passion falls within the realm of Chemistry and Forensic Science. Currently, I am an active member of several districts and national science programs and organizations. A graduate of McMurry University I received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and minor in Psychology. From there furthering my education I attended West Texas A&M University earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Secondary Science. Most recently earning a Masters of Science Degree in Educational Technology, Media, and Design from Full Sail University. At this time, I attend Texas Tech University to receive my Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction for STEM Education. Throughout my academic career, I have organized and created projects to enhance learning in the classroom through group activities and projects using multimedia as the emphasis. Enabling students to embrace their talents and teach their peers to achieve success both inside and outside the classroom. The students thrive in the classroom by achieving common goals while cultural diversity is celebrated. Students work hand in hand with real life scenarios and problem solve current and future challenges in chemistry, pharmacy, and forensics.
