I graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. I have also taken graduate coursework in molecular biology, virology, and immunology while working at Northwestern University. My work experience includes: molecular biology research scientist, an educator at Sea World of Florida, a Life Science Sales Accountant, and a public health researcher of cardiovascular epidemiology. These experiences have enabled me to gain a broad understanding of biology and biology careers.
I love learning. While working at the University of California at San Diego, I took 14 classes in literature, poetry, and film. I studied James Joyce novels, Robert Frost poetry, Film Noir, and French novels to name a few. I am fluent in French and am a skilled writer. Last summer I attended a 6-week workshop in Paris, France and made several short films.
I have experience tutoring students in a one on one setting at their home or in a public library. Subjects that I have tutored include Biology, Chemistry, French, English, Math, and SAT preparation. I excel at helping students focus on course objectives and preparing for tests and quizzes.
