Language is my focus. I have a degree French Language and Literature at Williams College, therefore I am familiar with curriculum assignments ranging from Levels French 1 to advanced French 4. As I began my journey with French in high school and passed the AP Language exam, I also have a foundation in materials found at the secondary levels. Having lived in Paris, Brittany and Senegal, I am a fluent listener, reader, and speaker. Since Fall 2018, I have been in Paris working with local artists. I have a firm, and in-depth understanding of the language from a cultural stand point, and do not have a discernible American accent as a result.
My teaching philosophy is patience; respecting my student's pace of learning. I tailor my lessons with a useful combination of grammatical exercises for repetition, then use newspaper articles, movies/documentaries, songs, poetry and images for retention.
My teaching methods embody repetition and retention.
