I am currently studying data science via online university courses. This field involves a blend of statistics, algorithms, and programming (Python, R) to construct computer programs for organizing and analyzing data. Prior to pursuing this field, I worked professionally in the technology industry for 5 years, selling cloud software for two high growth start-ups and IT products for an international corporation. Preceding this experience, I attended the University of California Santa Barbara and received a B.A. in Economics. Before college, I was a high school student in Palo Alto, CA where I scored a 2200 on the SAT and excelled in AP coursework (Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, U.S. History, Biology, Chemistry, English and Calculus), receiving an 'AP Scholar with Distinction' award for my performance in the classes. I have experience tutoring for SAT preparation and various subjects related to my academic background. This includes both assistance with the subject material, and general study and test strategies.
I am excited to continue applying what I have learned academically and professionally to help students succeed. I believe that having over 5 years of professional work experience allows me to bring a unique perspective to students on the practical importance of academics and skills that they develop in school.
