I attended Nazareth College (Rochester, NY), where I majored in Art History and minored in French. I spent my sophomore year abroad in Rennes, a city in the French region of Brittany. After college and graduate school (Ashland Theological Seminary), I taught French to middle and high school students for over five years, and I tutored some of those students on the side. I am passionate about helping students because I love seeing their sense of pride and accomplishment when they make progress! Plus, students are fun to be around. :)
My tutoring style is fairly relaxed. My first goal is to earn the student's trust and to help them get calm -- learning is always more successful when everyone is comfortable! I practice and expect mutual respect. We show respect for each other's time and energy by showing up prepared for each lesson so that we can accomplish as much as possible.
