Hi! My name is Mark, and I graduated from Montgomery Bell Academy here in Nashville, TN and am currently enrolled at Texas Christian University as part of their honors program. I am a huge sports fan, especially with college sports. I also have a strong passion for service, as I lead and participate in many projects every year.
In high school, I was a 2X team captain of the varsity air rifle team, as well as a letter winner on the varsity track and field team. I was the treasurer of the service club, secretary of the hispanic achievers club, the project manger for 2 service projects, and the founder of another. I was inducted into three honorary societies at my high school: The MLK society for service work, the National Hispanic Honor Society for Spanish, and Totomoi (The highest honor at my school for well roundedness in arts, athletics, academics, and service.)
I have a strong passion for Spanish. I have studied Spanish for four years in high school, including taking AP Spanish Language and AP Spanish Literature. I spent the summer between my sophomore and junior year studying in the Middlebury Language Immersion Program, and the next summer studying in Bogotá, Colombia while living with a host family from Argentina!
