I'm interested in working with Varsity Tutors because it's a constructive way for me to share the knowledge I've accumulated through my schooling with others. I have a diverse background of education and experiences that I think can be applicable to creating a positive learning environment for any student.
My experience tutoring and helping other students includes volunteering at the College Hills Baptist Church in College Station, TX. My fraternity, Sigma Chi, volunteered to tutor here each week and we would help children with their homework and various other assignments they had. Apart from that, I have helped countless friends and acquaintances with writing prompts, essay questions, personal statements, and the like for graduate school applications, college assignments, etc. English, and writing in particular, I'm very, very strong in so I have never hesitated to help others.
I completed my undegraduate studies at Texas A&M University where I received a BBA - Marketing from they Mays Business School where I was also a member of the business honors program. After some finance internships I realized I didn't enjoy it so I decided to pursue a career in medicine. I recently completed my M.S. - Pharmacology from Tulane University and am in the process of studying for the MCAT and applying to medical school for the first time.
Outside of academia, I'm a huge sports fan. I love the NFL, college football, soccer, basketball, and baseball. I played soccer through high school and in college intramurals. I also love to travel, I've only got two continents left to hit. And I also love to cook, hunt, fish, and spend time outdoors.
