My past tutors have made a big difference in my life not only academically but personally. These influences will always play a big role in my life. They've inspired me to begin tutoring others to pass on this influence. I've quickly realized that helping others understand something better is one of the best feelings ever and it is shared between the giver and receiver. Currently, I'm an undergraduate student at Washington University in St. Louis with a major in geophysics and a minor in astrophysics. I've tutored elementary school children in basic math, reading, and music. Along with this I've naturally picked up tutoring skills merely by working with classmates on assignments. When tutoring I strive for clear communication between the student so I can understand exactly where the misunderstanding lies and approach it most effectively. In my free time I love to run, play guitar, read, and drink coffee.
