I first began tutoring as a college student. I tutored in the Teaching and Learning Center, working with students enrolled in Developmental Math and lower-level college math. I also tutored students in the public school systems, and this is truly where I fell in love with teaching!

In September, I will begin my 10th year in education. I've taught middle school math in North Carolina and Virginia. I have a Master's Degree in Middle Grades Education, and I earned National Board Certification 2012. I love what I do!

Outside of teaching, I love spending time with my husband and my dog. We enjoy wandering through IKEA, watching reruns of The Office, and exploring northern Virginia. Additionally, I try to spend some time working on my dissertation for my Doctorate of Education.
